Isn’t he/she someone who appreciates the nature and wants to learn about it as much as being in it? You dont have to be a qualified scientist or a degree holder to be in sync with nature. If you have the desire to be in nature and a passion to contribute towards a greener tomorrow, here is an opportunity to learn from the best.
Forestale Safaris in collaboration with Ran Mangli Foundation invites you to join the course tailor made and facilitated by world renowned Biologist, Sr. Naturalist & Director of Ran Mangali foundation Mr. Anirudh Chaoji. He needs no introduction and has a wealth of experience in wildlife/nature conservancy and upliftment of communities in and around the forests of India. Winner of the prestigious TOFTigers Community Initiative award.
What Will You Learn/ Itinerary:
Day 1
- Participants reach Campsite by 12 noon
- Orientation about arrangements (1:00 pm)
- Tent allotment and Lunch (2:00 pm)
- Distribution of course material. (3:00 pm)
- Participants learn more about each other through an interesting activity. (03:15 to 5:00pm)
- Develop rules for behavior and interaction during the course (03:15 to 5:00pm)
- Activity – Field Visit. Jungle stroll. Introduction to Camera Trapping 05:00PM to 7:30PM
- Daily Wrap Up and Review / Announcements (8:00PM to 8:30PM)
- Evening Meal (8:30pm)
- End of Day
Day 2
- Wake up (5:30AM)
- Field Visit & Drone demonstration by an expert (6:00 AM to 10:30AM)
- Return to base. Freshen up (11:00 to 1:30PM)
- Lunch (01:30 PM – 2.30 PM)
- Activity (indoor) Discussions with the Wildlife Vet (2:30PM to 4:30PM)
- Wildlife Skills Session – Work of an Ecologist (4:30PM to 5:00PM)
- Tea
- Field Visit: Buffer Zone in the dark with an Ecologist (5:15 PM – 8:30 PM)
- Evening Meal (8:30 PM –9:30 PM)
- Quick wrap up and review (10:00PM -10:30 PM)
Day 3
- Field Visit: Track and sign identifications with wildlife Biologist (6:30 AM – 11:30AM)
- Importance of Meadow.
- Interaction with Forest Field Staff.
- Working breakfast – Hazards of Forest Fire
- Bath & Leisure Time (11.30 AM -12.30 PM)
- Session – Discussions on Wildlife Crime –Prevention and Detection (12:30 PM- 01.30 PM)
- Discussions with STPF
- Lunch Break (01:30 PM- 02.30 PM)
- Interactions with STPF and walk into buffer – Skills for checking wildlife crime areas (02:30 PM- 03:30 PM)
- Return for early dinner (06:00 PM)
Day 4
- Early morning trek in the Forest with Forest Officers to understand what it takes to conserve the forest. (06:00 AM- 09:30 AM)
- Breakfast (9:30 AM- 10:30 AM)
- De-brief of field learning (1030 AM- 11:30 AM)
- Jungle Safari (02:00 PM- 06:00 PM)
Day 5
- Bird-watching and understanding the role of a large waterbody in the success of an ecosystem.06:00 AM-09:30 AM
- Breakfast (09:30 AM- 10:30 AM)
- Pack up and closing ceremony (11:00 AM)
